Clippings.com is all about empowering furniture, lighting and home accessories design brands to grow their businesses online. We’re a rapidly growing digital platform, offering brands the chance to sell to our ever-expanding trade client base.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO BE LISTED ON CLIPPINGS.COM?

We do not charge a fee to help you set-up or showcase your brand on Clippings. We simply

purchase products from you as a reseller. This keeps us working hard to promote your brand, as we only success when you do!”

WHAT KIND OF EXPOSURE WILL MY BRAND RECEIVE?

Clippings.com enables you to reach the most design-conscious of clients. Our high standards of curation mean your products are shown alongside some of the industry’s most innovative design brands.

We recognise the importance of investing in editorial, online marketing and PR, to best share the stories behind your work and engage customers with your products.

WHO CAN SHOWCASE THEIR PRODUCTS ON CLIPPINGS.COM?

We are a curated platform for furniture, lighting and home accessories and partner with design brands of all sizes; from “ones to watch” to renowned international manufacturers.

Importantly, as our customer base is largely contract focussed, Clippings.com is utilised for a wide range of high profile projects.  This means it is essential that your products meet the applicable certification requirements.

Your product can be stock items or made-to-order pieces and you must be able to ship your products to the UK and EU - all electronic goods must have the option of being fitted with a UK plug, or have a UK adaptor available.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE BUYS MY PRODUCT?

When an order is placed, you will be sent an email notification. You can then log in to view the details of the product sold, where you will see the total wholesale cost per order, which you will then invoice us for on delivery.

For in-stock products, you must send us the order confirmation and handle the shipping within 48 hours. For made-to-order products, the required processing timescales depend on the shipping times you have set in your Clippings store manager.

WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING?

You are responsible for shipping products directly to our customers or if requested, to our warehouse and must use a registered courier to do so. 

You can set shipping costs for your products when your brand is created. This cost will then be referenced in your invoice.

WHO WILL HANDLE CUSTOMER SERVICES?

Any enquiries are handled by our dedicated customer success team, who are on hand to help from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday. We also send customers regular email updates to keep them informed about their order from start to finish. 

In order to help us provide a high level of service to our clients, we require up to date communication from all of our brands, notably; reporting issues swiftly and providing the correct documentation with every order.

WHEN AND HOW WILL I GET PAID?

All orders must be invoiced to Clippings directly and sent to finance@clippings.com, on the date the order was delivered. Invoices can be sent on an individual order basis, or can be amalgamated into one statement at the end of the week/month. 

Our payment terms are always “30 days end of the month”, which is inclusive of a 14 day returns period. 

This means that should you invoice us for an order that’s delivered on the 10th May, 30 days are calculated from this date which in turn, determines the month of payment - e.g. 30th June. Should you require a partial payment ahead of this date due to a particularly large order, do get in touch with brandsupport@clippings.com.

DO I INVOICE CLIPPINGS FOR VAT?

Clippings is legally obliged to include VAT on all product prices listed on the site. However, you will only need to charge us for VAT if your order is being shipped to a client within the same EU country as your registered VAT number. 

For brands with a UK VAT registration number, you will invoice us for 20% of the net product total after the Clippings discount has been deducted (if the order is shipping within the UK). 

Similarly, for brands with an EU VAT registration number, you will invoice us for your country’s VAT % of the net product total after the Clippings discount has been deducted (only if the order is shipping within the country in which you are VAT registered). This breakdown is visible at an order level within your store manager. 

If you are based in the EU and your order is not shipping to the country in which you are VAT registered, you should not invoice Clippings for VAT.  If you are not VAT registered, then you will still not invoice Clippings for VAT regardless of where the order is shipping.

WHAT PAPERWORK WILL I RECEIVE?

Upon partnering with Clippings.com you will receive our operations form which outlines our core terms and discount agreements. 

Separately, you can access all your transaction records online simply by logging into your account on Clippings.com. No other paperwork required!

HOW SHOULD I PRICE MY PRODUCTS?

All prices shown on Clippings.com are RRP and include UK VAT. We ask you to provide us with prices consistent with other online retail channels.

CAN I PRICE MY PRODUCTS IN EUROS?

Yes - simply tell us your standard price list currency when you provide us with information about your products. Customers can view prices in Euros or GBP - we automatically convert prices for them using the European Central Bank's official exchange rate.

HOW CAN I UPDATE YOU ON LEAD TIMES AND PRODUCTION TIMES?

Lead times should be on a product level and reflective of your average stock levels. Should your products frequently be low in stock, please consider providing a longer lead time as a precaution.
